The Illinois Office of Employment & Training is responsible for the management and oversight of the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA), a federal program administered by the State of Illinois. Illinois receives over $140 Million from the U.S. Department of Labor for the program. The following resources are designed to help employers find, hire, and train employees.

GET HIRED ILLINOIS - This NEW website is designed to connect employers looking for workers to employees looking for work. 

ILLINOIS WORKNET - This website is the State of Illinois workforce portal where employers can explore resources, connect to job seekers, and register to receive personalized services to help your business recover, expand, and grow.

APPRENTICESHIP ILLINOIS - Employers across the country struggle to find workers with the right skills due to the growing skills gap in the workforce. Help change that by discovering apprenticeship today.

BUSINESS HUB - Through the Illinois Business Hub, you will be able to find qualified job candidates, train your workforce, and navigate through employment regulations and taxes.


ILLINOIS WORKS - The Illinois Works Jobs Program Act was created as a result of A $45 billion capital plan and A commitment to expanding equity in Illinois’ construction workforce.  

The Workforce Connection Board is one of 22 local workforce boards established by the Governor of the State of Illinois pursuant to the federal Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA). Utilizing Federal and State funds, TWC provides a system for individuals to get employed and also works with employers to find skilled workers and access other services, including education and training for their current workforce in Boone, Stephenson, and Winnebago Counties. The board staff is a leadership team that oversees the workforce system for our region.


REGIONAL JOBS BOARD - Submit your job opportunities on the "local" jobs board managed by The Workforce Connection, who sends a weekly newsletter to over 600 local job seekers in our region.


RECRUITMENT EVENTS - Schedule a recruiting event at one of the Workforce Connection career centers in Boone, Stephenson and Winnebago Counties.
